Spanish Language School

Weekend Spanish classes are featured at the Baja California Language College throughout the year.

Because many students are unable to break-away to enroll in a week-long or a multiple week course, classes are offered every Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 to 2:30.

The course consists of 12 hours of private instruction. Weekend students prefer the intensity and individual attention of the Private Immersion Program . In this one-on-one environment students able to go as quickly or as slowly as needed to accomplish their Spanish language goals. Participants may also elect to have a program tailored to their specific interest or professional discipline. Students of all ages and proficiency levels may enroll in the Weekend Immersion Program.

All Weekend Immersion Programs are incorporated into the Private Immersion Program with two exceptions.

1. Students arriving with a group of 3 or more students at the same Spanish proficiency level may enroll in a Small Group Immersion Program for the weekend.
2. If two students arriving together want to share an instructor exclusively, one student pays the Private Immersion Program weekend rate and the other pays the Small Group Immersion Program weekend rate. See Prices page for details

First time students to the College who have chosen homestay accommodations should plan on arriving at the College on Friday between 2:30 and 3:30 for a brief orientation. At that time the student’s level of Spanish proficiency is assessed and they are introduced to their host family. The tuition balance is also paid at that time.

If a student cannot arrive within these time parameters they are urged to secure lodging in a motel for the first night and arrive at the College at 8:15 AM on Saturday. The College can make hotel recommendations for those unable to arrive by 3:30 and for those preferring not to stay with a Mexican family.
