The climate in Ensenada can best be described as sunny, mild and dry.
A general misconception is that because Ensenada is so far south the summers are terribly hot.
A cool Pacific current keeps summers mild. The average high temperature for the months of June, July and August is comfortable 76F. The fresh ocean breezes and the bright Baja sun make it an ideal climate.
Winters are also mild. Lows can get into the mid 40s and afternoon highs average 68 degrees.
The fall, winter and early spring are when the wind can switch direction and come from the east off the desert. These Santa Ana winds can produce tempratures in the high 80s to low 90s. The hottest days of the year are often in the middle of the winter.
"Studying at the Colegio was a great chance for me to brush up on everything I had forgotten from high school and learn a great deal more. Living with a local family enhanced the experience immeasurably. It was a great time. It is all top notch. The Colegio exceeded all of my expectations."
