The images of award winning photographer Jerry Snow are featured in the redesigned website of the Baja California Language College. Dr. Snow’s photos of Ensenada and Baja California can be found on postcards along the entire Baja Peninsula from Tijuana in the north to Los Cabos in the south. His work can also be viewed at local San Diego galleries and regional exhibits.
Plaudit Design of St. Paul, Minnesota created the new site. Designer Michael Schlotfeldt offers an exciting new approach to the layout and graphic design.
The strengths of his partner, and brother, David rest largely on software development and web applications. Dick Schlotfeldt is the other partner and father of Michael and David. Dick brings with him over 37 years of software and project management experience.
The seemingly odd marriage of these two entities was brought about by native Minnesotan, Keith Rolle. Rolle, a Duluth native and founder of the Baja California Language College, sees it as a perfect union. “I have been a big fan of Jerry Snow’s work for years. I was honored when he agreed to work on the project. His imagery gives visitors to the site a real flavor of the College, the City of Ensenada and the entire northern Baja region."
The choice of a Minnesota based web firm for a Mexican based Spanish school was a little less obvious. Rolle elaborates, “I interviewed dozens of web design firms from all over Southern California and Arizona looking for the perfect fit. I finally decided to go back to my Minnesota roots for a look around when I found these great progressive web designers with a strong Mid-Western work ethic. It was actually an easy decision."
