Ensenada, BC, Mexico – October 14, 2009 – More and more parents are realizing how important it is for their children to learn a second language. Being functionally proficient in Spanish just may provide the needed edge in today’s highly competitive job world.
To afford all families this great opportunity, the Baja California Language College has extended the length of the Family, Children and Teen program this year. Spanish immersion courses for families, children and teens will be offered from Thanksgiving week ( November 23 ) through the end of January 2010.
Ensenada is the perfect venue for the whole family to jump feet first into one of the top Spanish immersion programs in Latin America.
"A lot of parents are really taking a proactive approach in making sure their kids are prepared for 21st century challenges," said college president Keith Rolle. "It is a highly competitive job market today. Those who will succeed need to be able to do more than simply say they studied Spanish. They actually have to demonstrate proficiency in the language."
The Spanish immersion programs at the Baja California Language College have proven to be very successful because they stimulate children's and teen’s natural curiosity through hands-on interaction, lessons, games, songs and recreational activities. There are several breaks throughout the day and all instruction is in Spanish.
"The family program works out great because our campus is big enough to separate the kids from the adults and small enough so the parents are always close at hand," Rolle explained. "It is extremely gratifying for us to see the youngsters having so much fun using Spanish to communicate."
The college also coordinates a Mexican family homestay program where entire families are able to live in the household of a select Mexican family.
The Baja California Language College is Baja’s premier Spanish immersion school. It has earned international renown for its legal, medical and executive programs as well as programs for educators, teens and children.
