Westways Magazine, the bi-monthly publication of the Automobile Club of Southern California, has recommended the Baja California Language College as a top Spanish immersion destination. The Spanish school is located in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, about 80 miles south of San Diego on the Baja California Peninsula.
The article notes that weekly and monthly Spanish immersion programs are popular for those unable to commit to an entire semester long class at a college or university.
Baja California Language College President, Keith Rolle, agrees that shorter duration Spanish courses accommodate those with busy schedules. "A large part of our student body each week is made of working professionals. A lot of them find it tough to clear their travel schedules to study Spanish for more tha a few weeks at a time." Intensive Spanish immersion classes prove to be a highly successful method of foreign language acquisition.
The other two schools noted are Berlitz Language Centers with schools worldwide and Language Plus Executive Spanish Camp with locations in Cloudcroft, New Mexico and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
"The school does a very good job of gearing the instruction to a student's competency level. The instructors handle themselves professionally and exhibit concern for the students needs."
